Knicked underwear is made using several different layers, which together keep you totally protected for up to 10hrs without the use of bulky pads or intrusive tampons.

• Outer fabric: Your choice of either luxurious super soft Eco Modal or lightweight Sports Micromesh.
  
  
• Leak proof layer: This is the layer that prevents liquids from passing through the underwear but still allows airflow so it’s breathable and prevents sweating.
  
  
• Central layer: Our unique absorbent layer, which locks in the liquid. In our Heavy Absorbency range it can hold more than 200 times its own weight, which makes it one of the highest on the market.
  
  
• Inner layer: A soft charcoal infused mesh lining, which eliminates odour and is moisture wicking – giving you a drier surface next to your skin.

Why choose Knicked for your daughter? As a mum with daughters, The Knicked Boss Lady’s mission was to make the transition from pre-puberty to periods easy, safe and stress free without the need for one use disposables.  At the time there was no tween or teen options available in pre or period underwear so she set about doing lots of research into materials and technology and produced both a pre (light absorbency) and period (heavy absorbency) underwear that was designed especially for a girls body shape that was also super comfortable and looked just like regular underwear..

Knicked pre-period underwear prevents the worry of finding out menarche (a first period) has started by stains on clothing or worse and once regular trying to change pads in a busy school cubicle with very little privacy wouldn't be pleasant, especially for the many girls having to manage periods in their primary school years..

Are they hygienic? YES, yes, yes!! Will anyone know I’m wearing Period Underwear? Absolutely NOT..  I worked hard to create styles that look and feel just like regular teen underwear rather than modifying an adult’s range, using only the highest quality fabrics.

How do they work and is it gross sitting in period blood all day? Truly, nothing about puberty or periods should ever be called gross but Knicked underwear will stay amazingly dry due to its construction and advanced fabric selection, most girls say they feel drier than when using disposable pads.  This is due to the different materials sourced which draws moisture and liquid from the top layer and then traps it in the middle absorbent layers between waterproof fabric underneath.  Our underwear was specifically designed for girls with a higher arch at the front and complete protection up to the waistband at the back giving total coverage unlike other brands.

Can I wear Knicked all day or overnight even when my periods are heavy? YES!! Thanks to our unique layers inbuilt in our Heavy absorbency underwear, which can hold up to 40 mls so you are covered for a whole school day and onto a dance/sports class afterwards or for overnight regardless if you sleep like a starfish, log or curled up like a cat, you’ll never have to worry about bulky pads that scrunch, move and leak through the night.

Sizing

Washing Instructions: A quick rinse after wearing will prevent staining, then toss in the washing machine with like coloured clothing but please NO fabric softeners as it harms the waterproof membrane and is also bad for the environment, then hang out to dry on the line. Due to the many layers of material they may take longer to dry than regular lingerie so give them a full spin cycle as this will decrease the drying time. Cold or under 30 degrees wash is preferable. Do not tumble dry or iron.

How Long Will They Last? You can wear, wash and reuse your Knicked underwear over and over again.  Our Heavy Absorbency if cared for correctly will last up to at least 2 years but over time they will become less absorbent.  If that happens you can still wear them on light days and just purchase new pairs to cover your heavy days. You are still WAY out in front cost wise compared to all the pads/tampons you would have purchased and put into landfill.

Knicked Pre-period/light absorbency can be used for more than 2 years.
